MISSED GOAL

Unfortunately, I didn't reach my goal of 10 pounds in a month.  However I am glad to say I did lose some weight.  I am encouraged to continue on and maybe I can lose 10 lbs, by Thanksgiving :-).   Current weight as of this morning 193.

Slight set back

Okay!  I had a little distraction, I'm not sure what happened, but I have pain in my lower left abdomen and back area.  Yes, I've been playing doctor, and drinking cranberry juice to possibly address a bladder infection.  I haven't been doing too much of exercising since the pain started.  I did make myself walk this weekend.   I'm still determined to lose 10 pounds by 9/17.  I was given a menu by a personal trainer, and plan to do a meal makeover.  There isn't any pasta, rice, bread or potatoes on the menu.  I haven't decided to totally give up these items, however I will cut back on them.

Well, I didn't have a chance to take my measurements, but I did weigh in at 196, which is lower than I expected.  I'll take it!  After a long day of commuting to work, kids 2nd week back in school, picking up children here and there.  I just had to have glass of wine, I let my 15 year old drive to pick up my other son from football practice, and before knew it, he pulled out in front of a truck that had to avoid hitting us.  Whew, talking about the nerves, I told my husband, he's in charge of driver's education now.  I didn't get a chance to get in any real exercise today, I'm going to have to see where I can fit it in.  I did do 3 sets 30 squats in the ladies restroom at work today, when it was vacant.  Well, tomorrow is a new day let's see what can be accomplished....

RAINEY DAY!

We decided not to let the rain stop our workout today!  We were delayed a couple of hours, but we did get our workout in, my daughter and I walked only 4 miles today.  I'm happy with that, we both have hugh stomachs so we will do crunches later today.  Tomorrow, I will weigh and take measurements to post, to follow through with goal of losing 10 pounds in a month...

ACCOUNTABILITY

I know it's been a while since I've completed a post on this blog.  Not that I haven't been minding my diet, in fact I have increased my exercise routine.  However, I kinda do what and when I want to.  So to make myself more accountable.  I agreed to follow Ms. Tamona over at tamonastips.   As with her, I plan to lose 10 pounds by 9/17.  In making this commitment I will be posting more often, and maybe I'll also reap the benefit of fitting my wedding ring again.

PESCETARIAN


Wow!  I've only been eating seafood as a source of meat since August 2011, who knew there was a name for it.  I started off on a corporate fast with my church; I choose to give up all meat for 3 weeks.  I decided to continue on and finally in October I decided to start eating fish. 
Truly, I feel better; there are times that if I smell hot wings I do miss eating them.  However, that was one of the main reasons I decided to stop eating meat.  I would eat hot wings, 4-5 times a week, which means I had no control, not to mention the health aspect.  So now I'm working on the Pepsi, in which I only have maybe 1 a week. Baby steps..

I'M BACK

Wow, I'm a bad blogger.  I didn't realize how long it's been since I last posted to this blog.  I will definitely do better.  I will have to post about some changes I've made in my diet.  And I have lost 5 more pounds!!! Yeah, I'm now at 195, still a ways to go.  However, any progress for me is good
